About Be Kind in Mind

Giles has been working with young people for 15 years. This work has taken place in alternative provision academies, primary schools, secondary schools, doctor's surgeries, youth centres, music studios and residential courses.

Having been hugely influenced and inspired by completing the TIS (Trauma Informed Schools) Practitioner training in 2018, Giles has been supporting primary schools in Cornwall as a well-being practitioner since. His work involves 1-2-1 sessions with young people, parents, dyadic work (parent and child), small group work and working directly with school staff and SLTs.

Giles is now an 'Advanced TIS Practitioner' having been awarded a advanced practitioner certificate in parent-child therapy in 2024.

Giles uses music, mindfulness and the arts in his practice. He has studied with the Mindfulness in Schools Project and has previously studied with the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. He is also an accomplished musician and producer.

Giles read Maths at Exeter University and narrowly avoided becoming a weather forecaster before entering the world of music and well-being. He also runs the 'Sing Choirs', community choirs. Giles also works as a professional musician.
